OFFICIAL BRAND STATEMENT
Adjective: BYREDO SUNDAZED. To be seduced by the sun in a state of summer bliss. To bask in the freedom of solar worship, a place where time stands still.
A mythical undoing of body and mind in a mid-summer’s daydream. The state of total immersion – an addictive experience for sun-chasers everywhere.
In a psychosomatic journey of free love, SUNDAZED catapults through sunny top notes of mandarin and Californian lemon to a bold heart of neroli and Arabian jasmine.
Like cotton candy, a cascade of white musk injects this citrus scent with the endorphin rush of sugar on skin.
Nostalgia and escapism entwine to channel the warmth of an endless summer.

Not sure why, but BYREDO Sundazed has been getting a lot of heavy hits from people who were mentioning it’s not a really nice scent, that it belongs to the body splash category e.t.c. I actually went and sampled it because one of the comments on Fragrantica made me smile so bad that I knew I wanted to sample this release straight away. To all the haters out there: You say childish, I say careless.
Sundazed opens with very juicy lemon sprinkles/lemon candy accord and tons of pink cotton candy. If there would have been a cocktail with the flavor of this fragrance I’d be sipping it daily waiting for diabetes to happen.
This juice is sweet and very lovely. It’s fresh enough in the opening to lure you in into more interesting mid. I get loads and loads of neroli and little of sambac jasmine but this duet is so good on my skin that I just have to invest into a bottle or a larger decant of it.
It is not manly nor masculine scent. Sundazed is definitely leaning into more feminine and youthful direction and I love this stuff for a change. If you have Love Don’t be Shy by Kilian or L’eau de Neroli by DIPTYQUE imagine mixing these two and upping the volume on longevity. You’ll pretty much get the Sundazed but with more lemony vibe to it. I’m impressed.
