LYDEEN PARFUMS AMBERFUME

Just last week I got the care package from Lydeen Parfums and I can’t wait to talk about the scent I picked.

As you see from the photos, the choice fell on Lydeen Parfums Amberfume . A composition I’m very familiar with and my favourite scent from the entire collection. It’s a heavy resinous blend so if you like your ambers heavy, keep reading.

Amberfume starts up with heavy green incense-liquorice combo on my skin. It takes few seconds for it to settle and then the fun part starts: spicy cardamom emerges. I would say this fragrance is fully deprived of any citruses, yet back of my mind is whispering to me that there might be some lime present in it, just at the initial lift-off. What comes after is smoky, rich and herbaceous interplay of incense and resins. Labdanum, benjoin, fir. You name it, Lydeen Parfums Amberfume has it all.

Vibe wise it is all about campfire in Nordic winter, the kind you have when you go spotting Northern Lights. It is a mixture of chilly and warm textures, that blend into one gorgeous aura. Projection is moderate to strong  with excellent longevity on me which is always a good sign, as my skin burns fragrance off rather quickly. Somwhow I’ve worn it twice now (maybe because I freaking love it!) applying it on in both cases on late afternoon. And this champ lasts and lasts until the next day. 

Now that it is hot outside it is leaning incense heavy on me but I know for sure that in colder months it will be more sweet ambery and less smoky. Absolute stunner and dare I say the special thanks goes to whomever manufactered the Lydeen Parfums bottles. The glass, sprayer and cap (even though not magnetic) just feel like quality in hand. It feels like the glass part is made of crystal, something I’ve only seen in very expensive attar packaging.

If I had to choose magnetic cap or luxurious looking and feeling glass + epic sprayer. It’s a no brainer for me. And all that for 99euros, count me in!
