BEST-SELLER since its release in June 2022, Milky Dragon stands out for the originality of its fragrance and its obvious beauty. Easy to wear, it surprises with the richness and complexity of its many facets which are revealed on the skin like a play of shadow theater.

Although widely discussed in perfumery, tea inspired Isabelle Larignon and more particularly Milky Oolong, a semi-oxidized “blue” tea appreciated for its naturally milky note. The opportunity to work on the gourmet side by discarding vanilla or sticky notes of caramel and cotton candy.

Immersing your nose in the dry leaves of this tea is like diving into the fur of a home cat: it is warm, soft and dry. The olfaction is delicious like milk on the stove, comforting like a barely roasted chestnut in autumn. MY THOUGHTS

Isabelle Larignon Milky Dragon, the best find of mine from 2022 is the one of a kind tea fragrance I wanted to talk about today. This fragrance has enamored me in the best way possible, charming and conquering me entirely because of the feeling I get when wearing it. Call it “emotional disconnect from reality” and you won’t be far off from the truth. It’s comfortable and soothing, like settling in with a warm cup of tea and good company on a quiet evening.

I don’t want to talk about the notes today – that’s a technicality, and one that Isabelle does so well. Over the years her artistic vision and excellent execution had wowed me again and again. How about most cool jasmine perfume without any jasmine in it sound? Well, Bangla Yāsaman is exactly that. If you want to be wowed, do invest into discovery set!

Back to the Milky Dragon. As I said, I’m intentionally avoiding mentioning ingredients, all you need to know they are top tire. All I do when wearing Milky Dragon is feel. I feel grounded, focused, relaxed, and comforted in a way that few fragrances manage to achieve.

Tea is something I enjoy daily and have come to associate with winding down at the end of the day, that peaceful transition from the chaos of doing into the calm of simply being. Isabelle Larignon Milky Dragon has the same effect on me, and when life starts spinning too fast and everything feels overwhelming, I spray it and take a deep breath. That simple ritual becomes an anchor.

The fragrance opens refreshing and green at the start, then gradually gets warm and sweet as it develops on the skin. Not sugary sweet, mind you – more creamy, like almond milk stirred into tea. Once it settles on the skin, it lasts all day with impressive tenacity. I lose track of it for a while as it becomes part of my personal atmosphere, then suddenly I move around the house and catch the scent trailing in the air, reminding me it’s still there, still working its quiet magic.

I genuinely could not wish for a better scent to wear today or any day when I need that particular kind of comfort and centering. A mindset that only certain fragrances can provide. And Milky Dragon does that magic.
