STRANGERS PARFUMERIE MUSCAT JASMINE TEA
OFFICIAL BRAND STATEMENT
As the sun rises over a tranquil Japanese garden, the air is filled with the sweet scent of summer blossoms. Among the vibrant hues of lotus blossoms, symbols of enlightenment and purity, the lush greenery weaves a narrative of growth, connection, and celebration.
As summer unfolds, the garden becomes a canvas painted with colors and scents. The fragrance of fruits and flowers blossom fill the air, inviting visitors to wander through winding paths.
In the background, the careful cultivation of precious fruits unfolds. Farmers work tirelessly in nearby orchards and vineyards, tending to the iconic Shine Muscat grapes, known for their exquisite sweetness and vibrant green hue. As the grapes ripen under the warm summer sun, they symbolize the bounty of the season and the dedication of those who nurture them. The harvest season brings families together, where laughter and joy echo through the fields as they gather the fruits of their labor.
These moments of connection—between nature and people, tradition and innovation—are what define summer in Japan. Festivals celebrate the harvest, where the community comes alive with vibrant colors, music, and delicious food. People share the sweetness of freshly picked grapes, creating cherished memories that will linger long after the season has passed.
To celebrate this harmonious season, the garden hosts a special gathering, where the beauty of lotus and the sweetness of Muscat grapes come together with the soothing elegance of jasmine tea. Tables are adorned with delicate teacups and platters of fresh fruit, creating a feast for the senses. Guests sip chilled jasmine tea, its floral notes perfectly complementing the juicy, sweet bursts of the Muscat grapes. The tea, infused with hints of lemon and mint, refreshes and invigorates, encapsulating the essence of summer in every sip.

MY THOUGHTS
In the delicate glass vessel of Strangers Parfumerie’s Muscat Jasmine Tea lies an olfactory poem, a liquid meditation on summer’s most luminous hours. This is fragrance as memory, as prayer, as the distilled essence of sun-warmed afternoons where light itself seems to carry flavor. The opening is a jubilant proclamation: mandarin and lemon zest cascade forth like laughter, their citrus brightness piercing through the air with the kind of clarity that makes you close your eyes and inhale deeply. Imagine simply breathing in pure joy.
Citruses in the opening are merely shadow on heated skin in 15 minutes.Behold, the star of this verdant symphony comes forth: the muscat grape. It slithers in and takes you by surprise with its honeyed sweetness. These grapes, translucent highly scented green jewels plucked from sun-drenched vineyards, bring a juicy opulence that speaks of abundance and summer’s generous spirit.
The crisp Nashi pear joins this fruited chorus, adding a playful innocence, a freshness so vivid you can almost hear the snap of its flesh beneath your teeth. But it is in the heart that this fragrance reveals its true soul—here, jasmine tea blooms in all its paradoxical beauty, simultaneously intoxicating and serene, sensual yet meditative. The jasmine petals unfurl with their signature indolic sweetness, that almost narcotic floral richness that has seduced perfume lovers for millennia, while the black tea weaves through with its subtle tannins and grassy whispers, tempering the florality with a sophisticated edge.
Muscat Jasmine Tea is my second favorite from the Strangers Parfumerie collection, and with good reason. Prin has achieved something remarkable here, a deft balancing act where the tea’s crisp tanginess embraces the savory-sweet character of muscat grapes in a way that feels both unexpected and utterly natural. There’s a honeysuckle quality emerging in the composition, or perhaps it is honeysuckle itself hiding in plain sight, lending that characteristic honey-like sweetness that appears in the drydown like a revelation, a golden thread running through the composition that ties everything together with its nectar-touched warmth.
As the fragrance settles into its final chapters, lotus blossom emerges with its aquatic serenity, a flower that symbolizes purity and enlightenment in Eastern philosophy, grounding the more effervescent top notes with its contemplative presence. Fresh ginkgo leaf adds an earthy, slightly bitter-green dimension that speaks of ancient trees and temple gardens, while tea blossom—delicate, almost ephemeral—leaves a lingering warmth on the skin like the ghost of a kiss, a whisper that invites you closer.
Strangers Parfumerie’s Muscat Jasmine Tea is a fragrance of harmonies rather than contrasts, where floral meets fruity meets green in a seamless tapestry. This is a scent for daily wear that never feels ordinary, for special occasions that it makes feel even more luminous, a reminder that luxury can be found in simplicity when that simplicity is perfected.
