OFFICIAL BRAND STATEMENT
Over the years, Sultan has explored in great depth the various facets of the complex amber genre. With Quintessentially Amber, he decided to create a kaleidoscopic amber using all of the elements of this genre, but in a harmonious way: warm, resinous, creamy, spicy, sweet, salty, camphoric and incensy. Each fragrance purchased will include the corresponding sample.
Limited to one per bottle purchased.

MY THOUGHTS
Sultan Pasha Perfumes Quintessentially Amber is straightforward. You clearly understand you’re experiencing amber in its most refined, perfected form. Nearly flawless composition. Nearly just because I have a lifetime favourite amber soft, one made by L’erborario.
But, for heavier amber lovers, this fragrance answers prayers they didn’t know they were making. It’s THE amber Ithat many might have been seeking for, through countless disappointments and near-misses. The one that finally got everything right. The balance, the performance, the luxurious feel, the despicable calibration of richness.
The opening erupts with immediate welcoming smile: creamy, resinous, spicy and utterly joyful. Bright aldehydic touches prevent any sense of heaviness at the start, creating pleasant and luminous warmth that feels weightless. My guess is that what elevates this opening beyond mere indulgence is the masterful use of aldehydes.
And then it hits you. Rich sandalwood, cloves, vanilla, resins. I even catch a dash of cinnamon here. Where many ambers choose extremes-tilting either syrupy sweet, darkly smoky, or powderily dry, Quintessentially Amber seems to find the golden mean. Every amber facet is present and precisely calibrated. The texture is perhaps the most remarkable aspect. The thick golden resinous glow, a bit creamy and certainly polished. Radiant but never blinding, warm but never overwhelming.
This isn’t experimentation or boundary-pushing as Thebes is. Instead Quintessentially Amber tells me it is a master perfumer working within a beloved tradition and achieving something approaching perfection within those parameters.
For those who are only just starting to build a fragrance collection, take note. This fragrance represents the kind of sophistication what amber fragrance should be about. Not ambermax, not vanilla soup you might be tricked into getting by some random Gen-Z TikTokker with a collection that is soul-free and paid-ad or barter driven. Make the right choices in your journey and get the best in the genre to be able to tell the difference later on. This right here is the top game.
