Description by manufacturer
A sunny burst of the finest natural Calabrian bergamot leaves an impression of brightness behind, woven with a Natural floral accord of rose petals, jasmine, and Ylang Ylang from the Comoros Archipelago. Precious cedarwood creates a warm base, softened by Tonka beans from Venezuela.
Nice Bergamote features a natural and sustainable variety of Ylang Ylang from Comores extracted by lowering the impact on the local ecosystem and by implementing a replanting program of trees.
We source Tonka beans that support local Venezuelan communities, with an agreement to protect the surrounding fauna.
Let me tell you a secret. I am a big sucker for citrusy fragrances. So it wouldn’t be a surprise now that I love love love everything that has to do with Calabrian bergamot. It’s zesty slightly tangy feel. Sometimes it is bitter, other times it can be quite sweet. But one thing for sure. Nice Bergamote by Essential Perfumes is my one and only bergamote’y love in year 2019.
Coming from exclusive niche brand you’d expect a hefty price tag. Not in this case! Such beautiful and long lasting scent is available for €69 or $75 available from their own website (link below).
This fragrance is a joy in a bottle. It instantly transforms my mood and works as an aromatherapy thing-of-a-bob on me. It’s luscious crisp bergamot opening is simply divine. So uplifting and fresh. Very clean and not too loud yet very long lasting. My Bergamote Absolute 🙂
At some point it reminds me of a freshly made gin & tonic with lemon twists inside. Those fresh citrus shavings, gorgeous! Or maybe even a lemonade. Slightly sweet, cooling and refreshing. The perfumer behind this fragrance is Antoine Maisondieu. Fragrance is relatively new and has been launched last year. If you get a chance to sniff it, please let me know what you think of it.
