- Fig leaf
Description by manufacturer
The inspiration for Figue de Vigne is a wonderful summer afternoon on the island of Lande, in the shade of the fig tree leaves where notes of citrus fruit and white wood mingle.
Caudalie Figue de Vigne eau Fraiche created in 2013. It has been pulled off the market by now and is considered to be a rare find. And it is a rare beauty indeed. The fig notes in the opening are so green and leafy. I love how loud the initial blast is. This fragrance is a fresh and woody in it’s orgin. Perfumer behind this creation is Francoise Karon.
After 15-20 minutes the wildness of it calms down and I start noticing a beautiful rose and soft warm cedar . Very green, almost covered in dew drops. The sweetness of the figue is slowly replaced by more sweet and woody scent. One thing for sure, this is a body splash made for summer use only.
By the way the packaging on this one is stunning! If you look closely, what looks like bubbles on the upper half of the glass bottle form a beautiful grapevine, a signature emblem of Caudalie.
